Balpara is growing and we are looking for a Primary Engineer to join our supportive and passionate team.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to apply your technical skills across the asset lifecycle, contribute to complex investigations and projects, and continue developing your expertise within a collaborative consulting environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Support and participate in technical investigations into asset and network issues
- Assist in developing asset management plans, plant strategies and maintenance approaches
- Analyse asset performance, condition and risk data, and contribute to reporting
- Support condition and risk assessments and asset management strategies
- Contribute to engineering standards, specifications and technical documentation
- Support mentoring and knowledge sharing with engineers and graduates
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support client and project outcomes
What you need to be successful
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
- Registered Professional Engineer of Victoria (RPEV) in Electrical Engineering
- Working knowledge of HV & LV assets.
- Experience with transmission level stations up to 500 kV is essential
- Exposure to asset management, design, testing, risk assessment or failure investigations
- Understanding of Australian and international standards and regulatory requirements in particular AS/NZS 7000.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and a collaborative working style
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP EAM (or similar systems)
- Experience with modelling tools is advantageous
