Public Lighting 

We design public lighting for freeways, roads, tunnels, pedestrian crossings, rail environments, parks, carparks, walkways and paths, sportsgrounds and other public spaces. We consider biodiversity lighting, glare, colour and sky glow when designing your project. With decades of experience, our engineering and design team are trusted by Councils, Power and Traffic authorities to deliver schemes that meet Australian standards and environmental considerations.

Private Lighting 

Our specialist lighting designers also service the private sector, working with Body Corporates, Councils and Land Owners. This includes tailored solutions for your private space, whether it be feature, flood or decorative lighting for walkways, car parks, sports grounds, gardens, and open spaces. Our designs aim to optimise security and environmental impact, while considering dark sky lighting requirements.

Detailed Electrical Design

Our designers produce preliminary and detailed electrical designs for submission to the relevant Utility for approval. Balpara is accredited with all Victorian Power Authorities, and work with other government bodies to streamline the project. We can integrate your lighting solution into existing power assets or assist with asset relocation.

Utility & AS3000

With almost 50 years’ experience, Balpara is at the forefront of public and private lighting design. Our accreditations include Jemena, Powercor, CitiPower, United Energy and AusNet Services, along with the Department of Transport and Planning. This allows us to accommodate all Councils in Victoria, and service all private projects.

Lighting Assessment

Balpara conducts lighting assessments and provides a recommendation report to ensure your lighting meets AS 1158 public lighting standards. Our team are proficient in AGI 32 and Perfect Light software to overlay lighting conditions to ensure efficient and cost-effective lighting schemes.

Project Management

The Project Manager liaises with all parties - the construction company, civil contractors, utilities and the client – to meet project deliverables and quality standards. We’re accredited with all Victorian power companies for project management, whether it be PM2 and PMC.
